The Temple of Literature

Best time to visit
Hanoi has four real seasons — cool and often misty from November to March, hot and humid from May to August, with the shoulder months around March–April and September–October generally the most comfortable for walking.

The Vietnamese Dong (VND). Cards are accepted in hotels and larger restaurants; carry cash for street food, markets and small vendors in the Old Quarter.
Getting around the Old Quarter
Motorbikes, cars and pedestrians share narrow streets with few footpaths — crossing is a steady, predictable walk rather than a dash. Most of this itinerary is done on foot or by short transfers.

Can this be extended to Ha Long Bay or Sapa?
