This eight-day journey splits your time between Seoul, the capital, and Busan, Korea's laid-back second city on the coast, using the high-speed KTX train to cover the distance in under three hours.
In Seoul, you'll walk the grounds of a five-centuries-old royal palace, wander the shopping streets of Myeongdong, and spend a full day at one of Korea's major theme parks. In Busan, the pace slows down — Haeundae Beach, the pastel houses of Gamcheon Culture Village, and the city's aquarium round out a coastal finish that balances out the capital's energy.

Myeongdong's shopping streets
Seoul's best-known shopping district — cosmetics stores, street snacks and department stores, all within easy walking distance and simple to navigate as a family.
Busan's beaches & colour
Haeundae Beach for the classic Korean seaside day, and the stacked pastel houses of Gamcheon Culture Village — one of Korea's most photographed neighbourhoods.

A balanced pace — capital, theme park and coast — with breakfast daily and all listed transfers included.
You're met at Incheon International Airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Settle in, then ease into the city — an evening stroll around your hotel neighbourhood is a gentle way to start, with plenty of family-friendly restaurants nearby.
A morning at Gyeongbokgung Palace, with the option to rent hanbok for the visit (free palace entry while wearing one — a nice touch for family photos). In the afternoon, head to Myeongdong for shopping, street snacks and an easy, walkable family outing.
A full day at one of Korea's major theme parks: Lotte World, with its indoor park and lakeside outdoor Magic Island right in the city, or Everland, Korea's largest park with a wider range of thrill rides and a zoo, about an hour outside Seoul. We'll help you choose based on your children's ages and interests.
A day left open by design. Relax after the theme park, or use it to explore further — the N Seoul Tower, the Han River parks, or a second look at any of Seoul's neighbourhoods. We're happy to suggest a plan on request.
A high-speed KTX train south to Busan — around two and a half hours, with the option of an even faster direct service. On arrival, check in to your hotel near Haeundae, Busan's main beach district, and take an easy first walk along the waterfront.
A relaxed day centred on Haeundae Beach — a 1.5-kilometre stretch of sand that's one of Korea's most famous. For a break from the sun, the SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium sits right beneath the beach, with hundreds of marine species and touch pools that are a hit with younger children.
A morning at Gamcheon Culture Village, a hillside neighbourhood of stacked, brightly painted houses and street art, often called the "Santorini of Korea." It's an easy, photogenic walk with cafes and small shops throughout. The afternoon is left free for a last taste of Busan.
Enjoy a final breakfast before transferring to Busan's Gimhae Airport for your onward or connecting flight. Prefer to fly home via Seoul instead? We can build the return leg either way.

Before you go
Best time to visit
Korea has four distinct seasons. Spring (Apr–May) and autumn (Sep–Nov) are the most comfortable for sightseeing and theme parks; summer is hot and humid but ideal for the Haeundae beach days. We'll advise on timing for your dates.
Currency
The South Korean Won (KRW). Cards are accepted almost everywhere, including small shops and transit; carry some cash for street snacks and markets.
Getting between cities
The KTX high-speed train covers Seoul to Busan in around two and a half hours, with more frequent and comfortable service than flying for a family. We handle the booking and station transfers.
Travelling with young children
Korea is stroller- and family-friendly, with lifts at most subway stations and baby facilities in malls and department stores. Let us know ages when you enquire so we can pace the itinerary accordingly.
Food for fussy eaters
Beyond spicier dishes, Korea has plenty of mild, kid-friendly options — kimbap, Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki (mild versions available), and international food courts in most malls.
Visas & documents
Entry requirements depend on your passport. Many nationalities enter South Korea visa-free for short stays, but please check based on your nationality — we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Yes — that's a starting price, per person, for the 8-day itinerary based on twin-share accommodation. It covers your hotels in Seoul and Busan, daily breakfast, airport and listed intercity transfers, the sightseeing in the itinerary, selected entrance fees and local assistance. The final figure depends on your travel dates, hotel choice, group size, which theme park you choose, and whether you'd like it private — so we confirm an exact quote when you enquire.
Should we choose Lotte World or Everland?
Lotte World is inside Seoul itself, combines indoor and outdoor sections, and suits families who want to stay central or who are visiting in poor weather. Everland is about an hour outside the city, is Korea's largest theme park, and offers more thrill rides and a zoo — a better fit if you have a full day to dedicate to it. We'll help you decide based on your children's ages and how much travel time you're comfortable with.
How do we get between Seoul and Busan?
By KTX, Korea's high-speed train, which covers the distance in around two and a half hours with comfortable, spacious seating — generally easier with children than a domestic flight once airport time is factored in. We book the tickets and arrange station transfers at both ends.
Are international flights included?
No — international flights aren't included unless we've specifically stated so in your quote. We can advise on convenient arrival times into Seoul and arrange your airport transfers to match your flights.
Can this itinerary be customised or run privately?
