Two very different Malaysias, both handled properly
This is a seven-day trip for travellers who want the best of Malaysia without spending it on logistics. Three nights in a premium Kuala Lumpur hotel put you close to the Petronas Towers, Bukit Bintang's high-end shopping and the city's best dining — with a private guide and vehicle rather than a group coach. Then a short domestic flight north swaps the skyline for a private beach on Langkawi, where the days are built around a resort, the sea and very little else.
The route runs Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, chosen deliberately: KL delivers the city, culture and cuisine most first-time visitors want, while Langkawi's northern coast — around Datai Bay and Tanjung Rhu — is Malaysia's quietest luxury beach address, backed by rainforest rather than crowds. A private Kilim Geoforest boat excursion is included for a half-day away from the resort, but otherwise your island days are left open.
Every transfer is private, hotels are selected at the upper end of each destination, and the pace is set by you. Extend the beach half, upgrade to a villa, or add a spa day — this itinerary is a strong starting point, not a fixed script.

City first, then island — with breakfast daily, private transfers and one guided excursion on each leg included.
A private car meets you at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and transfers you to your hotel in the city centre. The rest of the day is yours to settle in — a rooftop bar overlooking the skyline is a fitting first evening.
After breakfast, a private guide and vehicle take you to the Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC Park, then on to Bukit Bintang for high-end shopping and dining, and the historic Merdeka Square area for context on the city's colonial-era core. The itinerary flexes to your pace and interests.
An open day to shape as you like — a spa morning, further shopping in Suria KLCC, a food-focused outing with a private guide, or simply resting before the island leg. We're happy to arrange any of the above ahead of your trip.
A private transfer takes you to the airport for the short domestic flight to Langkawi. On arrival, a private car brings you to your resort on the island's quieter northern coast, near Tanjung Rhu and Datai Bay — rainforest on one side, the Andaman Sea on the other.
A private boat excursion into the Kilim Geoforest Park's mangrove channels, past dramatic limestone karsts, with a stop at Tanjung Rhu Beach and the chance to watch sea eagles overhead. Back at the resort by early afternoon, with the rest of the day free.
A full day left open. Spend it at the resort, on the beach, at the spa, or arrange a private sunset cruise — we can pre-book any of these before you travel, but nothing is fixed unless you want it to be.
A final breakfast, then a private transfer to Langkawi International Airport for your onward or homeward flight. If you'd rather extend, we can add nights on the island or link this trip to another Malaysian destination.

Before you go
Best time to visit
Both destinations are warm year-round. Langkawi's driest, calmest months for beach and boat days generally run from November to March — we'll advise on timing for your dates when you enquire.
Currency
The Malaysian Ringgit (MYR / RM). Langkawi is also a duty-free island, worth knowing if you're planning to shop for alcohol, chocolate or perfume before departure.
The domestic flight
Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi is a short domestic hop, roughly an hour and a half, on the standard routing we use for this itinerary — full flight details are confirmed with your booking.
Private, not group
Transfers and the two included excursions are private throughout — no joining a shared coach or shuttle boat. Tell us your preferred pace and we'll plan around it.
Free-day planning
Days 3 and 6 are intentionally left open. Let us know in advance if you'd like a spa treatment, private dining or a sunset cruise reserved ahead of arrival, since the best slots at this tier book out early.

Yes — that's a starting price, per person, for the 7-day itinerary based on twin-share accommodation at our standard premium hotel tier. It covers your hotels, daily breakfast, all private transfers, the two included excursions, selected entrance fees and local assistance. The final figure depends heavily on which named hotels you choose, your travel dates and group size, so we confirm an exact quote when you enquire.
Which hotels are included?
We work with a short list of premium properties in central Kuala Lumpur and on Langkawi's northern coast around Datai Bay and Tanjung Rhu. Because hotel choice is the biggest factor in price at this tier, we'll confirm named options and rates once we know your dates and preferences.
Are international flights included?
No — international flights aren't included unless we've specifically stated so in your quote. The domestic Kuala Lumpur–Langkawi flight is part of the standard itinerary; we'll confirm the exact routing and any associated cost with your quote.
Can the free days be filled with activities instead?
Absolutely. Days 3 and 6 are left open by design so you're not paying for activities you don't want, but we can pre-book a spa treatment, a private sunset cruise, additional sightseeing or fine dining ahead of your trip — just tell us your interests.
