Best time to visit
The Maldives is warm year-round. The dry season, roughly December to April, brings the calmest seas and clearest skies; the wetter months from May to November still see plenty of sun between showers. We'll advise on timing for your dates when you enquire.
Currency
The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), though US dollars are widely accepted at resorts and most transactions on resort islands run on a room-charge basis, settled at checkout.
Getting to your resort
Every transfer runs through Velana International Airport near Malé. Nearby islands are reached by speedboat (around 20–60 minutes); more remote atolls use a scenic seaplane, which only operates in daylight — worth factoring into your arrival time.
What to pack
Light resort wear, reef-safe sunscreen, and a swimsuit you're happy to live in — most resort islands run on a relaxed, barefoot-luxury dress code even at dinner. A light cover-up is worth having for the boat or seaplane transfer.
Reef & marine life

Speedboat or seaplane — which will we use?
