The Golden Triangle, then deep into royal Rajasthan
This is North India's classic route, done properly. Most first visits stop at the Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — and rightly so, since it delivers the Taj Mahal and some of the subcontinent's greatest Mughal architecture in a matter of days. This itinerary keeps all of that and then pushes further, into the desert forts and lake palaces of Rajasthan proper: the "Blue City" of Jodhpur beneath its clifftop fort, and Udaipur, the marble "City of Lakes," widely called the most romantic city in India.
You'll walk the red sandstone ramparts of Delhi's Red Fort and the soaring Qutb Minar, stand before the Taj Mahal at Agra — Shah Jahan's 17th-century white marble tribute to his wife Mumtaz Mahal — and climb through Jaipur's Amber Fort above Maota Lake. In Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort towers over a sea of blue-painted rooftops, and in Udaipur, Lake Pichola and the City Palace close the trip on its most photogenic note.

The Taj Mahal, Agra
Shah Jahan's white marble mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, built between 1631 and 1648 on the banks of the Yamuna River — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, for most travellers, the reason the trip exists.
Delhi's Mughal & British landmarks
The red sandstone Red Fort, the soaring 73-metre Qutb Minar, Humayun's Tomb — the garden-tomb that inspired the Taj Mahal — and the Lutyens-era India Gate and government quarter.
Jaipur, the Pink City
Amber Fort's Rajput-Mughal grandeur above Maota Lake, the honeycomb façade of Hawa Mahal, and the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar observatory in a capital painted rose-pink since 1876.
Jodhpur & Udaipur
Mehrangarh Fort towering over Jodhpur's blue-washed rooftops, then Udaipur's Lake Pichola and City Palace — the marble "City of Lakes" that closes the trip on its most romantic note.

You're met at Indira Gandhi International Airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Settle in and rest after your flight — there's plenty of India still to come.
A guided day through both of Delhi's faces: the Mughal-era Red Fort and the Friday mosque of Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, then the Lutyens-designed India Gate and government quarter of New Delhi. Humayun's Tomb — the 16th-century garden-tomb that set the template for the Taj Mahal — rounds out the day.
A road transfer to Agra. In the afternoon or at sunrise the next morning — timed for the best light and smallest crowds — you'll stand before the Taj Mahal itself, followed by a visit to Agra Fort, the red sandstone Mughal stronghold across the Yamuna River.
A road transfer to Jaipur, often via the abandoned red-sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival, an easy first look at Jaipur's rose-washed old town before settling in for two full days in the Pink City.
A full day through Jaipur's highlights: Amber Fort above Maota Lake, the honeycomb façade of Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, and the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory. The evening is left free for Jaipur's bazaars.
A road transfer (or short domestic flight) to Jodhpur, Rajasthan's "Blue City," named for the indigo-washed houses that spread beneath its clifftop fort. Arrive in time for an evening view of the fort lit up over the old town.
A morning at Mehrangarh Fort, one of India's largest and best-preserved forts, with museums of royal artefacts and sweeping views over Jodhpur's blue-washed old city. In the afternoon, explore Jaswant Thada — the marble royal cenotaph — and the bustling Sardar Market around the Clock Tower.
A road transfer (or short domestic flight) to Udaipur, the marble "City of Lakes" often called the most romantic city in India. Arrive in time for a sunset stroll along Lake Pichola.
A full day through Udaipur: the sprawling City Palace complex overlooking the lake, the intricately carved Jagdish Temple, and a boat ride on Lake Pichola past the white marble Lake Palace and Jag Mandir island.
A day left open by design, after a route that covers real ground. Wander Udaipur's lakeside old town, arrange an optional trip to Sajjan Garh (the Monsoon Palace) on the hill above the city, or simply relax at your hotel.
Enjoy a final breakfast before transferring to Udaipur's Maharana Pratap Airport for your onward or connecting flight. Prefer to route home via Delhi, or add Jaisalmer's desert forts before you go? We can build that in.

Jaipur–Jodhpur and Jodhpur–Udaipur can run by private road transfer or by short domestic flight. Which mode is used, and whether a flight upgrade is priced into the package above or quoted as an add-on, is confirmed with your operator before booking.
Before you go
Best time to visit
North India and Rajasthan are best from around October to March, when daytime temperatures are comfortable for sightseeing. Summers (April–June) are very hot, and the monsoon (July–September) brings humidity and rain. We'll advise on timing for your dates.
Currency
The Indian Rupee (INR / ₹). Cards are accepted in hotels and larger shops; carry cash for markets, small vendors and monument entry where card facilities are limited.
The Taj Mahal, practically
The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays and has timed, security-screened entry with restrictions on what you can carry in. We plan your visit for good light and manageable crowds — sunrise or late afternoon are usually best.
Dress code
Forts, temples and mosques generally ask for shoulders and knees covered. Light, breathable, modest clothing suits both the climate and the sites — a scarf or shawl is useful for temple visits.

Yes — that's a starting price, per person, for the 11-day itinerary based on twin-share accommodation. It covers your hotels across all five cities, daily breakfast, airport and listed intercity transfers, the sightseeing in the itinerary, selected entrance fees and local assistance. The final figure depends on your travel dates, hotel choice, group size, whether any legs run by flight instead of road, and whether you'd like it private — so we confirm an exact quote when you enquire.
How much driving is involved?
This route covers real distances — Delhi to Agra, Agra to Jaipur, and on to Jodhpur and Udaipur. Most legs run by private air-conditioned vehicle with a driver; the longer stretches to Jodhpur and Udaipur can also be flown if you'd prefer to save time. We'll plan the mix that suits your pace.
Is 11 days enough for this route?
Eleven days gives each city proper time rather than a flying visit — two full days each in Jaipur and covering Delhi/Agra, and a deliberate free day in Udaipur. If you'd rather add Jaisalmer's desert forts or spend longer in fewer places, we can adjust the route; tell us what matters most to you.
Are international flights included?
No — international flights aren't included unless stated in your quote. We can advise on convenient routings into Delhi and out of Udaipur (or a return via Delhi), and arrange your airport transfers to match your flights.
