Best time to visit
Seoul has four distinct seasons. Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) bring mild weather and, respectively, cherry blossoms and autumn colour — both popular and beautiful times to visit. Summers are hot and humid; winters are cold and dry.
Currency
The South Korean Won (KRW). Cards are accepted almost everywhere in Seoul, including boutiques and restaurants; a small amount of cash is still useful for markets and taxis.

Dress code
Fine-dining rooms and rooftop bars generally expect smart-casual at minimum; some request jackets for men. Bongeunsa asks for modest dress — shoulders and knees covered, and quiet, respectful behaviour near the prayer halls.
Getting around
